Yeah, looks like IdleChan, and 5Chan have both died. When you go to 5chan it gives you a little message:

Wow, is anyone else tired of this revolving door syndrome? I'm not even going to get attached to this "new" 4chan, because odds are it'll be dead in a bit.
Sad to see 5chan go though. It was, in every respect, superior to 4chan. Another reason I'm not terribly excited it's "back".

Really, so explain to me in a calm, rational, and above all logical manner, how 4chan was superior to 5chan.
On pure interface, it couldn't even compete. The only argument I can see is the community, and I didn't notice an extreme difference either way.

The interface of 5chan was ugly, and the site was just plain slow. It sucked.
Doesn't matter how much we argue about it, everyone is going to agree. 4chan was great, 5chan was just okay.
Edit: Oh yeah, we also had to sign up with hentai key, and hentai key sucks.

I have to agree. 5chan had more content, but the drag in load times were beyond noticable.
5chan looked ok in the way of the interface, but 4chan's was still much better.

5chan's load times were only bad until the site resdesign. Same with the interface. Afterwards, it was much better than 4chan. Obviously not everyone is going to agree, because I don't. I'm sure you'd like to think my opinion is irrelevant, if so maybe I should just stop posting on here entirely?
And you had to sign up for a password. Whoop de ding. I haven't noticed any downside to that yet. I'm getting the same amount of spam as always, more or less.
But I just can't see how you could consider 4chan's interface superiour to 5chan's, particularly after the redesign. Not only was the layout easier to navigate, it simply looked better. 4chan looks like something out of Geocities. Just because you have an affinity for it doesn't make it better.

And actually, I must say that for a dirty hooker 5chan was actually not bad by the end of it. It was quite fast once they got the new server. And they way the files were named, you could save and delete some crap and have the original filename. It's just the hentaikey crap and design of it that bugged me.

Wow, the new 4chan really sucks, but at least you can easily circumvent their little anti saving shit. Go to the original page and "save target as" the link to the picture you want. Tried tested and true.
I told Noel there was a way around it, and I just remembered, so I'm putting it here for all the others who may not have figured it out.

That's actually some sort of an internet explorer bug. I'm not really sure what causes it.
