E3 is here again. And despite the downsizing, there's already been some heavy announcements. Figured it'd be easier to consolidate them all into this front page post (cuz how often do I post on the front page, really).

Good idea, I have a hard time keeping up with the E3 news. I'm really tempted to skip lunch and watch the Nintendo conference tomorrow though.

Yeah, I don't have much to do besides follow the E3 news, so I'll keep everyone with more of a life informed throughout the week.

This isn't exactly new, but this is a higher quality version than I saw. Megaman 9 E3 08 debut trailer. Of all things, the story actually has me intrigued. Seems like it could fill in the gaps between the classic and X series timelines.

Also, those Mii-like avatars have been confirmed for 360, along with a whole new dashboard. Personally, the design looks like total garbage. Just what we needed, even more dead space! But, some of the new confirmed features may be worth it for some people. Loading games from the HDD sounds particularly interesting. And Live Party with your Mii, I mean, Avatars? Sounds like somebody's stealing Home's thunder.

Personally, I think the ONLY thing they should be doing with dashboard is finding ways to make it work FASTER, as it is if you want to check someones stats and such it runs like garbage, I'm just hoping it doesn't run worse than it already does, sadly with all that extra stuff like the "Mii's" it'll definitely take longer to load.

I like the loading from the HDD too, but I'm wondering how much that'll speed up piracy on the console.

The Guide will be much quicker, according to reports. That's what comes up when you hit the big X button in the middle. Supposedly the dashboard will be faster too, but I have a harder time believing that one.

The HDD loading only works with the original disc inside, so it's only to reduce load times. Still, might give pirates a route inside.

Also, this about sums up the fanboy reaction. Or maybe it doesn't. It's still amusing.

Even Animal Crossing for Wii couldn't save that conference.

Haven't seen it myself, but it was a media conference. As in mainstream media. As in not us, nor even gaming media. Welcome to the new E3.

They spend ten minutes or more just talking about hardware sales. At that point the conference seemed like it was sliding downhill.
