Greatest idea ever (Nintendo related of course)

So I was watching this video, and realized that the black and white Gameboy has a much more fun library of games than the iPhone!

Then I thought, imagine if Nintendo released a new Gameboy, using that paper LCD technology they use in book readers to give it an ultra sharp, natural (but not backlit) LCD screen, in black and white. Give it a bunch of internal memory, a super small size, and immensely long lasting battery.

Next, take EVERY Gameboy game in existence and put them into an online store that can be accessed through the device using wifi. Make every game the exact same price, regardless of quality (I'm thinking two dollars would be fair).

I would buy MASSIVE amounts of old Gameboy games. Tetris alone would make this a better gaming device than the iPhone, not to mention Link's Awakening and Pokemon Red/Blue.

If they wanted to take it a little further, go with a backlit, colour screen and add Gameboy Colour games for slightly more than the Gameboy games. You could have infinite amounts of fun and the device would be so small and simple.

Do it Nintendo!

Great idea! But I had it first with the portable NES/8-bit cellphone, but it's a better nes, with api's and libraries and stuff so devs can make new games easily (4-5 people, like in the old days) and rejuvinate all these old games. Same resolution and palette limits, but more processing power, for smoother gameplay, more sprites on screen, great paralax scrolling, heck, even some pseudo-3d.

"No More Heroes is a really great game. A very amazing game. I think No More Heroes is a great game, there's no other action game like it for the Wii. If it was a band, it would be really energetic, like the Arctic Monkeys." - SUDA 51
