Fuck, Blocker, Remove from Steam. Time to yell at the QA for not findin' that shit.
"We're not retreating, we're advancing towards future victory!" - Sarge, Red vs. Blue web series.
You can transmute 2 of one type of Ember into one of the next level up:
I.e; 2 cracked = 1 dull. 2 dull = 1 discoloured. 2 discoloured = 1 regular. ProTip: The 4 greens transmute into a Dull which sometimes can sell for more than the value of the 4 greens.
You can transmute 3 of one potion into 1 of the next level up. GAYNESS: You can only do this one at a time. A full stack is not transmuted.
Hyper-advanced aliens might not have to send their interstellar battle fleet to conquer Earth, it might only take three bored undergraduate aliens with borrowed lab equipment.
Wouldn't really be worth transmuting potions. I can buy the next level up, but I'm still using the first tier for the most part. Of course, I'm like level 16 and fighting level 8 dudes. Not sure how that happened.
Oh, another quick tip. Don't bother identifying items unless you think you might wear it. Unlike D2, the unidentified sell price is fairly close to the identified one 90% of the time, and the difference usually doesn't even cover the cost of the scroll.
I'm no hero. Never was, never will be. I'm just an old killer, hired to do some wet work.
The Demo capped me at Level 7 :(
My fame is still levelling though... But it's only level 5. My pet is Level 10. I keep forgetting to put equipment on it.
Fish are pretty bad-ass. I have two "Trufflesnout Fish" which are +200% Magic Find and +500% Gold Find for 600 seconds.
I also picked up a few "Ember Fish Eyes" or something, they give +20% Experience for... 120 seconds? Can't remember. Burned through a bunch of them, have two sitting handy for in case the full version uses my demo character.
There are other fish that can turn your Pet into various elementals like Electric and Poison for... 120 seconds? Those ones are probably good. Common fish just turn your pet into a Gel or Bat. Kinda crappy.

BUG REPORT!
Set Items (Purple) show up in the Blacksmith's catalog, but they have Rare Item (Blue) icon backgrounds.
Just a heads-up. If you have a set to complete, browse the blues.

Wow there are set items too? Neato.

"You caught a fish containing:
Unidentified Boots"
What the shit?
Edit: Happened twice, and they were both Blue Boots. Spend some time at the Fishing Hole in the Estherian Ruins on Level 14. It also gives up alot of bigger transforms like ones that let you turn your pet into electric/poison elementals for
3600 seconds.

Buying that game at midnight was a bad idea... gonna be tired tomorrow.
I found a really sweet set item staff though.

Oh yeah. That's why I wanted to start the download at lunch so I could get a fix as soon as I got home from work.
Anyways, also encountered that the third fishing hole in the... Uh... It's called, like... Esterian Fragment or something? The Portal Guy gives it to you. Anyways, the third hole there was giving me some epic stuff. I got a Sushi Quality Fish Meat that heals 1200 Heath and a bunch of mana over 1 second, so basically it's an instant Full Rejuv, and it came in a pack of five. It was also giving me alot of the Big versions of transforms.
It's a one-time zone, so use it or lose it. Or, use it then lose it. It's kinda unavoidable.

Niiiice. It's good that there's epic stuff to be gained from fishing, otherwise it would have been a feature that most people would have just disregarded. I haven't found a spot to try it yet.
Man this game needs multiplayer.
