"Green" (cheap) game cases

I've seen one of these "greener" Xbox 360 cases already, it really just feels "cheaper" as it's super light, and full of holes.

Sounds like Nintendo is also following suit making "lighter" fully recyclable cases. (If they're recyclable why do they have to be smaller? My guess it they're taking this opportunity to cut some costs.)

I think game companies should just adopt a paper sleeve style case, with a bit of plastic to attach the disc to, like CDs do sometimes. Lately I've been a big fan of those. They'd be biodegradeable, recyclable, and wouldn't feel nearly as cheap feeling as this crap they're gonna be selling us soon.

I don't get WHY they should be recyclable when you usually keep games in the case they come in.
And I doubt the slight cut in costs will save us any money. If PSN's PSP games/ XBL's Games on Demand games aren't reduced enough in price despite not needing a case, manual, or disc (and in some cases, being more then a few years old), then I doubt this'll change anything.

If they really wanted to stop the landfills from piling up with game cases they'd stop allowing so much shovelware. Switch that crap to a digital distribution model!
