Me and Noel were talking last night about a new function that could be added to Fourside. It's basically a small calendar that any user can add events to, which are either public (everyone can see) or private (personal use).

Events will appear as a notice somewhere on the site (probably up where birthdays go) on the day of the event, but I'm not sure how they should be viewable otherwise. I'm also not too sure about what details should be stored. At the moment I think the date, a single line description, and a check on whether it should be private (public by default) would be enough.

If anyone has any suggestions or requests just post em here! I figure this could be amusing as we'll be able to share game release dates and notable events.

Oh and this may be my first chance to throw some AJAX functions onto the site.

Be sure to add some type of limit on how many events can be flagged on an individual day as public by one account.

The funny thing was... I was thinking something like that last night but didn't say anything.

I guess the general rule of thumb should be, "If it can be broken, Moik will break it, and use it against us."

Oh I just deal with that stuff as it comes up :P

This is sorta my testing grounds after all...

Just put a limit on Moik.

Maybe throw a calender up top right showing the month and a red dot on days that have something special coming up. On said day have a message much like usual, and show the events on hovering the mouse over it for other days.

As for adding days, a separate link under said calendar with a selectable date and input box for the event, much like the reply button but with a date.
