Now the real question is do I import Mother 3?!?

I think it was Reggie or somebody at Nintendo who's been saying we'd have a redesigned DS sometime in '06. If I recall correctly, they've supposedly been working on one since the original DS release, which makes sense. Love the gadget as I may, the design could be much better.

I'm just hoping it'll be soon because mine is breaking :( L/R buttons aren't working so great, and now there's a spec of dust under the top screen... ohhh well.

Yeah, mine's been in not so great shape almost since I got it. Those who've used mine know about my "floaty" touch screen and the weak hinges, but I've never really been concerned about the welfare of my current DS as I've figured I'll have to replace it anyway.

floaty touch screen? What does that mean?
I think mine does that :|
It's like the plastic layer over the screen has lifted a bit. Mine does it a little in the corners.

Nintendo Dismisses rumour of Zelda being playable with the revolution controller.
Obviously this doesn't rule anything out, but usually when Nintendo dismisses something... it means it's not true.
Honestly I'm a bit relieved. I'd rather be waiting for a Zelda with many more features and perfected gameplay, than be waiting for a hacked in control scheme for a console that won't be out for months. If there's going to be a Zelda using the Revolution controller, I assume it will be for Rev only.

that's what my touch screen does! but all over..
I just thought that was normal :S
At least I have the quiet shoulder buttons :)
Translation of Nintendo apology letter for shortage of DS in Japan:
"
We heartily thank those who bestow their patronage on our humble company.
Over the New Year season, demand for our portable game system "Nintendo DS" has vastly exceeded our predictions. It has gone out of stock, which we know has caused a great deal of trouble to our honored customers and retailers. For this we apologize from our hearts.
We will begin to ship our product by air mail, as this will help it get to retailers a bit faster. We are shipping product every week, but as supplies will not be fully replenished until the end of January, we humbly supplicate ourselves before you and beg your favor."
I was also reading an article about how many sequels there are these days, even among Nintendo. But Nintendo really has the best franchise ever, itself!
Rather than creating possibly the best Zelda adventure ever, what do you think the response would have been with a totally new franchise? After-all, any of the other high-risk non-franchise Nintendo games that I can think of were sucessful. Uniracers, Earthbound, Pikmin... at one point Kirby was a risk, as was Pokemon. If Nintendo threw in some new franchises, they could easily gain more fans, guaranteed!
(To sort of clarify... imagine the new zelda being a new franchise, with new characters, new gameplay elements. An entirely new adventure by Nintendo. I almost think I would want this more.)

All, or most, of RE4's death scenes.
