Why would it be that bad? A GBA SP screen with a mini disc player underneath? Double up the lithium ion pack and you'd probably get the same life as an SP now.

I dunno.... the reason minidisc players get so much battery life is because the disc is designed in a stable case. It doesn't have to perform any kind of read-ahead for anti-skipping.

That machine is missing a Z button, a select button, and a memory card slot though.
