The localization is the only thing stopping me from buying all of the DS Dragon Quest remakes. I expected DQ9 to be the same but now I can actually be excited about it!

On a more serious note, what he's explaining makes perfect sense. Though, while his rendering method may be really good, how easy it is to create worlds this way... is a different matter altogether.

Wow this is kinda what I predicted, where 3d objects would be made up of colored molecules instead of 3d shapes. Quite a bit different though.
They way they only manage to render a single screen resolution worth of points is pretty clever though. Polygon rendering doesn't even do that.
